Trump Says He ‘Likes Hanging Around With Losers’ Because It Makes Him Feel Better

US President Donald Trump has sparked fresh reactions online after saying he prefers spending time with “losers” because it boosts his own confidence.

The remark came during a Q&A session at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Priority Summit in Miami on Friday, where Trump was discussing leadership and success.

‘It makes me feel better’

When asked what he believes the world is missing in terms of leadership, Trump responded simply: “Winning.”

He then went on to compare leadership to sports, explaining how outcomes are clearer and quicker to judge. During this explanation, he made the unexpected comment:

“You got a lot of losers, mostly losers, fortunately. It’s a good thing to have a lot of losers. I always like to hang around with losers actually because it makes me feel better.”

He added that he dislikes being around highly successful people, saying:
“I hate guys that are very, very successful and you have to listen to their success stories. I like people that like to listen to my success.”

Trump’s comments quickly gained attention online, with many viewers criticizing the tone and calling the remarks unusual for a public figure speaking at a major global event.

During the same appearance, he also made a number of other offbeat comments while taking unscreened questions from the audience, emphasizing that unlike other politicians, he allows any question to be asked.

At one point, he joked about not needing questions to be filtered and even told the audience they could “talk about anything, You can talk sex.” adding to the reaction surrounding the event.

The comments were made after Trump delivered a keynote address covering topics including global investment and geopolitical issues.

While some in the audience appeared amused, the remarks have since circulated widely online, with many debating whether they were meant as humor or a serious reflection of his views on success and leadership.
