A teenager has been sentenced to prison after threatening a fast food worker with a gun when he was given the wrong sauces with his meal.
Marwan Khadir, 18, carried out the shocking incident at a chicken shop in southeast London on Christmas Eve last year. The situation escalated after he discovered that his order didn’t include the number of garlic and mayonnaise dips he had asked for.
According to reports, Khadir had ordered three chicken legs, chips, a drink, and multiple sauce dips shortly before 9pm. CCTV footage later showed him returning home, checking his food, and counting the sauces. Realising the mistake, he became visibly agitated and decided to go back to the shop.
When he returned, Khadir confronted the worker, shouting: “I asked for three garlics and three mayos!”

The situation quickly turned dangerous. He demanded the worker open the door, jumped over the counter, and pulled out what appeared to be a handgun. He then grabbed the worker’s wrist and pointed the weapon at their head while threatening to kill them.
The terrifying ordeal reportedly lasted over two minutes.
The weapon was later confirmed to be a realistic imitation firearm, but at the time, the worker had no way of knowing that.
The victim reported the incident to police the following day, prompting a swift investigation. Officers used CCTV footage, financial records, and other evidence to track Khadir down.
He was arrested on January 2, and authorities recovered the imitation gun along with fake ammunition. Investigators described the evidence against him as “incredibly strong.”

Khadir later pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, making threats to kill, and assault.
He was sentenced to three years in prison at Woolwich Crown Court.
Detective Sergeant Amy Cross, who led the investigation, praised the victim for coming forward and highlighted the seriousness of the incident.
She said the attack was a terrifying experience that no one should have to go through, especially while at work, and commended the victim’s bravery in reporting the crime.
