A Ryanair flight from Milan to London was forced to divert to Paris after two passengers reportedly caused chaos mid-air — one by eating pages from his passport and another by attempting to flush his own down the toilet.

About 15 to 20 minutes into the flight to London Stansted, witnesses said the men began acting strangely once the seatbelt sign was switched off. According to reports, one passenger sitting at the front of the aircraft started tearing pages out of his passport and eating them, leaving fellow travelers shocked.
Meanwhile, the second man allegedly locked himself in the plane’s lavatory and tried to flush his passport down the toilet. Cabin crew were alerted and rushed to the scene to investigate.
“Suddenly, the whole mood changed — no one onboard knew what was going on; these people were acting weird,” a passenger told reporters. Flight attendants reportedly tried to reason with the man inside the restroom while another crew member made an announcement informing passengers of the situation, which only added to the tension.
The bizarre mid-air incident led the pilot to divert the plane to Paris, where French police were waiting upon landing. The two men were taken into custody by authorities.
The flight eventually continued to London after a delay of around two hours. One passenger described the experience as “the most terrifying 15 minutes of my life,” though they also praised the cabin crew for handling the situation calmly.
Ryanair has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
