A West Virginia man was arrested after allegedly making repeated 911 calls claiming zombies, ghosts and even a UFO were surrounding his home, according to authorities.
The bizarre incident happened in Randolph County near Elkins, where deputies say 33-year-old Clinton Wayne Nelan repeatedly contacted emergency services with reports of paranormal activity around his property.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, four deputies responded to Nelan’s residence after receiving several emergency calls. Authorities said he claimed zombies, ghosts and a UFO were near his home and that he was being harassed by multiple people.

When officers arrived, Nelan allegedly continued making strange claims and also told deputies he was a police officer from Louisiana. Investigators later determined that he was not a law enforcement officer.
Police said none of the reported incidents actually happened.
Nelan was arrested and charged with misuse of a local emergency telephone system and impersonating a law enforcement officer. He was later booked into the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $2,500 cash-only bond.

Authorities said the repeated calls pulled emergency responders away from other potential emergencies and stressed that false 911 reports are treated seriously.
The unusual case quickly gained attention online because of the combination of zombies, ghosts and UFO claims. Some social media users joked that the situation sounded like a horror movie plot, while others questioned whether the incident may have involved a mental health or substance-related issue.
Officials, however, have not publicly suggested the calls were intended as a prank. No injuries or violence were reported during the arrest, and deputies said Nelan cooperated with officers at the scene.
Authorities have not released additional information about any court appearances or whether Nelan received a medical or mental health evaluation following the incident.
