A new library containing millions of pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein is set to open in New York City, but only certain visitors will be allowed to fully access the files.
The exhibit, called the “Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Reading Room,” is located in the city’s Tribeca neighborhood and features more than 3.5 million pages of records released by the U.S. Department of Justice earlier this year.
The massive collection has been organized into over 3,700 volumes and will be open to the public from May 8 to May 21 through appointment-only visits. The project was organized by the Institute for Primary Facts, which says the goal is to promote transparency and accountability.

Only journalists and law enforcement can read the files
While the public will be allowed to visit the exhibit, not everyone will be permitted to actually read through the documents. According to organizers, only journalists and members of law enforcement will have direct access to the files themselves.
Organizer David Garrett explained that the restriction was introduced because some records released by the Department of Justice allegedly contained insufficiently redacted information related to survivors. The exhibit’s organizers said they wanted to avoid exposing victims to possible harassment or retaliation.
Garrett described the installation as an attempt to show the scale of Epstein’s crimes and the large amount of evidence tied to the case. He said the exhibit contains roughly 17,000 pounds of material.
“The evidence in this room is evidence of one of the most horrific crimes in American history,” Garrett told Wired.
The installation also includes a timeline detailing Epstein’s relationship with Donald Trump, beginning with their reported first meeting in Palm Beach in 1987 and continuing through later years. Candles representing the more than 1,200 estimated victims are also part of the display.
A spokesperson for the White House responded to questions about the exhibit by stating that Trump had “been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein” and claimed he had “done more for Epstein’s victims than anyone.” Trump has consistently denied wrongdoing and has not been charged with any crimes connected to the Epstein case.
Epstein, who faced accusations of sex trafficking and abuse involving minors, died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial. His case has remained the subject of widespread public attention due to his connections to wealthy and powerful figures.
